The present invention relates to a DNA marker for confirming pork quality improvement and a kit for analyzing single nucleotide polymorphism (SNP) using the same, wherein the DNA marker consists of 15 to 716 continuous sequences in sequence number 1 including a 629th G base in a base sequence of sequence number 1 and uses SNP in a microRNA-208b domain related to muscle fiber characteristics. By means of the present invention, by using novel SNP around a microRNA-208b domain related to an increase in a ratio of a muscle fiber type I, pork having excellent moisture retention, small drip loss, low lightness, and good meat color can be selected at an early stage.
