<p>The invention relates to a system and method for calculating the temperature of elements of an inverter (1) supplying power to an electrical machine, comprising a plurality of insulated-gate bipolar transistors (6) and diodes (5) and a holder (7), the system comprises a single temperature sensor (8) indicating the temperature of said holder, and a computer able to solve a set of three thermal equations for the temperature of the hottest insulated-gate bipolar transistor, for the temperature of the hottest diode, and for the temperature of the holder, a map delivering to the computer values of the equivalent thermal resistance between the hottest insulated-gate bipolar transistor and the holder, and a map delivering to the computer values of the equivalent thermal resistance between the hottest diode and the holder.</p> |
