<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a simplified earth-retaining fence capable of preventing sediment outflow and muddy water outflow from a soil dump yard, and of being inexpensively constructed in a short period. <P>SOLUTION: A simplified earth-retaining fence 1 which is installed on a water bottom for preventing sediment and muddy water charged into the soil dump yard A from outflowing to the outside of the soil dump yard A, includes a supporting structure 2 to be erected on a water bottom ground B along the outer periphery of the soil dump yard A, an earth-retaining plate material 3 to be supported by the supporting structure 2 in the state that its surface is directed to the side of the soil dump yard, and a muddy water diffusion preventing sheet 15 to be disposed on the surface side of the earth-retaining plate material 3.
