<p>An ice making apparatus of the present invention comprises: a water tray disposed in an ice-making chamber and receiving an inflow of water; an evaporator for freezing water in the water tray; a compressor with variable compression capacity for compressing a refrigerant supplied to the evaporator; a temperature sensor for sensing a temperature of the water supplied to the water tray; and a control unit controlling the variable compression capacity of the compressor, wherein the control unit selectively provides a first control mode including a range increasing the compression capacity of the compressor stage by stage within a preset reference compression capacity by comparing a sensing value of the temperature sensor with preset temperatures, values of which are set to gradually become smaller, and a second control mode controlling the compressor in a range above the reference compression capacity.</p> |
