The present invention relates to a method and an apparatus for displaying a virtual object corresponding to a moving object sensed through an infrared mesh on a screen. An apparatus for displaying a virtual object according to an embodiment of the present invention includes a first infrared mesh; a second mesh spaced apart from the first infrared mesh with a first interval; a screen spaced apart from the second infrared mesh with a second interval; and a processor for generating display information about a virtual object corresponding to a moving object by using first sensing information about the moving object sensed through the first infrared mesh and second sensing information about the moving object sensed through the second infrared mesh and for displaying the virtual display on the screen based on the display information.
