The package (10) for a pharmaceutical product (24) comprises a vial and an electronic tag (1) for obtaining infomation relating to the integrity of the product (24) as assessed from an exposure of said product (24) to physical or environmental conditions during a time span. The tag (1) is attached at or to a constituent (86, 88) of said vial; or at least a portion (40) of said tag (1) is integrated in a constituent (81) of said vial. The tag (1) comprises an electronics unit (40) comprising a control unit (44), a sensor unit (44) comprising at least one sensor for monitoring said physical or environmental conditions, a display unit comprising a display (8) for displaying data relating to said integrity referred to as status data and a switch (9). The control unit (44) is structured and configured for effecting that said display unit displays said status data in reaction to an operation of said switch (9). A rip strip (3) may be bonded to the vial body (82). |
