PURPOSE:To make it possible to start a facsimile equipment in a setting place of a telephone set by providing the telephone set with a control part connected to the facsimile equipment to control the start of the facsimile equipment. CONSTITUTION:When a telephone call for executing facsimile communication is inputted from the opposite side equipment to the facsimile equipment 1, the telephone call is received by a receiving device 16 of the telephone set 141. When a facsimile start switch S2 is depressed after the calling, the indication signal is transmitted to a key detecting circuit 8 through a control line 20 and a line control device 9 and then inputted to a CPU 3. The CPU 3 drives the device 9 at first, disconnects the telephone set 141 from the line, connects the line with a data bus 12 and starts the equipment 1 so as to execute facsimile communication with the opposite side facsimile equipment. Thus, the facsimile equipment can be started in the setting polstion of the telephone set.
