PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To synchronize a redundant safety device based on a simple configuration without adding a complex process or a special device, even when the safety device is subject to limitation on the use of an interrupt.SOLUTION: In a slave safety device, a timer 201 repeatedly times the processing cycle of a safety process. A process startup unit 202 starts the safety process each time the timer 201 times the processing cycle for one cycle. A signal read-in unit 203 reads in a signal value of a signal wire sync signal for each processing cycle of the safety process. A synchronization control unit 204 increases or reduces, on the basis of the signal value read in by the signal read-in unit 203, the processing cycle to be timed by the timer and has the processing cycle of the safety process of the slave safety device synchronized to the sync signal.
