PURPOSE:To improve belt life under high temperature atmosphere by the use of a chlorinated ethylene/alpha-olefin copolymerized rubber composite that is added and mixed with a solid solution of magnesium oxide-aluminum oxide. CONSTITUTION:A power transmission belt is obtained in use of a rubber composite wherein a solid solution of 1-50 pts.wt. of magnesium oxide aluminum oxide is added as acid acceptor to a chlorinated ethylene/alpha-olefin copolymerized rubber composite of being 20-40wt.% of chlorine content and Mooney viscosity of 10-190 at ML1+4 121 deg.C. In a toothed belt 1, it consists of a plurality of toothed rubber layers 2 and a backbone rubber layer of being embedded with a core line 3 of a aramid fiber cord, a glass fiber cord or the like, and a cover canvas 5 is stuck on the surface thereof. By employing the rubber composite mentioned above, life can be improved under high temperature. |
