FIELD: medicine, pharmaceutics.SUBSTANCE: present invention presents formulations providing the effective delivery of methylnaltrexone compositions. A pharmaceutical composition according to the invention contains an effective amount of methylnaltrexone, calcium ethylenediaminotetraacetic acid (EDTA) or calcium-disodium salt of EDTA and hydrochloride glycine in an aqueous solution. The above solution has pH from approximately 3 to approximately 4.
