<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a chip processing device for a machine tool, which is enabled to improve the cleaning function of a filter and to reduce a replacement frequency by reliably eliminating chips having pierced into the filter.SOLUTION: A chip processing device for a machine tool having a filter body 23 for removing chips from a cutting liquid, comprises: a chip cutting member 75 having a multiplicity of approach holes 75a, into which cut chips a' can enter, for cutting off the cut chips a' having entered the approach holes 75a together with the filter body 23, and arranged movably in the lower face of the filter body 23; and a cutting member drive mechanism 76 for moving the chip cutting member 75 relative to the filter body 23 by the movement of a scraping plate 36.</p> |
