PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an exhaust gas cleaning filter which can suppress an increase of pressure loss thereof while improving particulate matter collectability thereof and can also improve durability thereof and lower combustion temperature of particulate matter.SOLUTION: A filter base body 2 includes: partition walls 3 each comprising a porous material; an inflow cell 4A which is formed by the partition walls 3 and the inflow-side end for exhaust gas of which is opened; and an outflow cell 4B which is arranged at a position different from that of the inflow cell 4A of the filter base body 2, and formed by the partition walls 3 and the outflow-side end for exhaust gas of which is opened. A porous film 5 containing oxidation catalyst particles is formed on the surface of the inflow cell 4A. The oxidation catalyst particle is obtained by depositing a noble metal particle of such a state on the surface of a silicon carbide particle that the noble metal particle is covered with an oxide layer thereof. A ratio (Mn/Ms) of the mass (Mn) of the noble metal particle to that (Ms) of the silicon carbide particle is 0.005 or larger and 0.15 or lower.
