<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress a used amount of functional ink.SOLUTION: An ink jet printer 1 includes: a plurality of nozzle arrays where a plurality of nozzles discharging color ink to sheets conveyed are placed at prescribed intervals in a main scanning direction orthogonal to a conveyance direction of the sheets; and a nozzle array where a plurality of nozzles discharging clear ink to sheets conveyed are arranged at prescribed intervals in the main scanning direction. At least one of the plurality of nozzle arrays discharging the color ink is placed in the way that positions of the nozzles are displaced in the main scanning direction with respect to at least one of the other nozzle arrays. A center of gravity in the main scanning direction of the plurality of nozzles corresponding to the identical pixel in the plurality of nozzle arrays discharging color ink matches a center location in the main scanning direction of the nozzles corresponding to the pixel in the nozzle arrays discharging the clear ink.</p> |
