The present invention relates to an apparatus and a method for maximizing the yield of edible plants by extending a period for harvesting the edible plants in a plant cultivation apparatus. The period for harvesting the edible plants is extended to be three times or greater than a common harvesting period by preventing or inhibiting the edible plants from bolting. The apparatus includes a plurality of plant cultivators in which water absorbing members, water, moisturizing members, and soil to be mixed with a fertilizer are arranged in order; a plurality of cultivation pots which are placed apart from each other at a distance for breeding the plants and are moved to cultivate either a raising seedling or a mature seedling to be harvested; a plurality of supports which are arranged to be placed apart from each other and are arranged at intervals between the plant cultivators in order to obtain an air circulation pathway; an air duct which includes an air hole and promotes transpiration of the edible plants by wind provided through the air hole in order to prevent the edible plants from bolting; and an air blowing fan which is located on an end portion of a side of the air duct and forcibly blows air. |
