<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a voltage regulator that has good transient response characteristics.SOLUTION: A voltage regulator includes: a first amplifier that detects the occurrence of undershoot of output voltage; a second amplifier that detects the occurrence of overshoot of output voltage; a first constant current circuit that receives a signal based on the output signal of the first amplifier or the output signal of the second amplifier and increases the bias current of an error amplifier circuit for a first time by a first amount; a second constant current circuit that receives a signal based on the output signal of the first amplifier and increases the bias current of the error amplifier circuit for a second time shorter than the first time by a second amount larger than the first amount; and a first switching circuit that receives a signal based on the output signal of the second amplifier and pulls up the gate of an output transistor.</p> |
