The process is applied to particularly sharp or fuzzy pixels selected from several images of the same object. The spatial planes in which they lie are established and the images of individual layers are stored for comparison with corresponding pixels. The results are held in a third image store (BS3), copied into a second store (BS2) and compared with the signal from a first store (BS1). The voltages distributed over the spatial planes are held and copied in further stores (BS4,BS5) by the operation of the AND gates (T3,T4). The 3D information ends up in the fifth store (BS5), and the complete video signal is located in the third store (BS3).
