<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent an external terminal from getting turned by vibration or mechanical shock. <P>SOLUTION: In a single cell equipped with external terminals 141, 151 having bus bar weld zones 142, 152 in which bus bars for electrically connecting single cells together are welded, cathode and anode terminal members 104, 105 respectively include a terminal block 160 which holds the external terminals 141, 151 and connection terminals 145, 155 which are connected to the external terminals and current collectors 180, 190 penetrating through the terminal block and a battery lid 102. The terminal block includes a base part 161 which is interposed between the external terminals and the lid, a side wall 163 which rises from the base part to the external terminal side to restrain the side faces of the external terminals, and a salient 162 which is protruded from the base part toward the lid.
