摘要

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To impart good traveling stability and durability while assuring excellent static magnetic characteristics to a magnetic recording medium formed by using a polyester polyurethane resin and a phenoxy resin in combination as a binder of the magnetic layer of the coating type magnetic recording medium. SOLUTION: The polyester polyurethane resin and the phenoxy resin are used in combination as the binder of the coating type magnetic recording medium constituted by forming the magnetic layer contg. magnetic powder, the binder and lubricant on a nonmagnetic base. A polyhydric alcohol ester and silicone oil are used in combination as the lubricant thereof. In addition, the surface extraction amt. of the lubricant from the coating type magnetic recording medium is specified to 3.0×10<-3> to 3.0×10<-2> g/m<2> .
