<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a maintenance device which has simple configuration and changes the number of nozzles being subjected to maintenance, and to provide a fluid ejecting apparatus. <P>SOLUTION: The maintenance device of a printer includes an abutment member 55 which includes an abutment part 56 abutting on a fluid ejecting head 18 so as to close the nozzle openings 25 of a plurality of nozzles 23 provided in the fluid ejecting head 18 and which is relatively moved with respect to the liquid ejecting head 18 to thereby change the number of the nozzle openings 25 closed by the abutment part 56. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT</p> |
