<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image reading device that reduces the occurrence of misdetection in document size detection. <P>SOLUTION: In an image reading device 100, when an opening/closing detection unit 140 has detected that a document conveying unit 2 is lifted above a predetermined position, a line sensor 18 photoelectrically converts disturbance light per line unit spending longer time than photoelectric conversion during normal image reading, while storing electric charge for every pixel to create image data for disturbance light detection; and a reading control unit 110 identifies a pixel that has become brighter by an effect of the disturbance light on the basis of the image data for disturbance light detection. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT</p> |
