<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To allow a user to easily recognize devices corresponding to protocols different in number as one device. <P>SOLUTION: A PC 1 compares a MAC address of a unique ID element 73 in N-PnP information of a WSD base" issued from a printer 3 with a MAC address set in a unique ID element 124 of "N-PnP information of a UPnP base".
