<p>The present invention relates to guiding and providing orientation for visually impaired passengers on-board a vehicle. In order to provide an improved guiding of visually impaired passengers on-board a vehicle, a vehicle guidance system (10) for guiding visually impaired passengers on-board a vehicle is provided. The vehicle guidance system comprises an interior space (12) on-board the vehicle with at least one cabin zone (14), wherein at least one movement area (16) and at least one seating zone (18) are located in the cabin interior space, and at least one guiding handrail (24). The guiding handrail is mounted at least along a part of the cabin zone in the vicinity of the movement area. The guiding handrail is a tactile guide (26), along which a passenger can be guided for movement within the cabin zone by a touching contact with the guiding handrail. Further, the guiding handrail is provided with visually highlighted information (28) and manually touchable information (30), both related to cabin information. Still further, the guiding handrail is mounted above the seating zone, and within reach of a passenger present in the adjacent movement area.</p> |
