A display panel includes: a first substrate; a first transparent electrode which is arranged on the first substrate and is applied with a voltage in a display mode when an image is displayed; a polymer-dispersed liquid crystal layer which is arranged on the first transparent electrode and includes photosensitive polymer molecules and liquid crystal particles; and a second transparent electrode which is arranged on the polymer-dispersed liquid crystal layer and is applied with another voltage in the display mode. The display device includes the polymer-dispersed liquid crystal layer which becomes transparent in the display mode and becomes opaque in a non-display mode. Accordingly, the display device can display a specific color other than black in the non-display mode.
