A liquid crystal display device according to the embodiment of the present invention includes an insulation substrate, a gate line and a data line which are located on the insulation substrate, a thin film transistor which is connected to the gate line and the data line, a first insulation layer which is located on the gate line, the data line, and the thin film transistor, a first electrode which is located on the first insulation layer, a second insulation layer which is located on a first electric field generating electrode, and a second electrode which is located on the second insulation layer. The first insulation layer and the second insulation layer have inorganic insulation layers. The thickness of the first insulation layer is thicker than the thickness of the second insulation layer.
