The present invention relates to a CMOS high frequency signal generator which comprises: a first transistor which is cross-coupled to a second transistor to have characteristics complementary with the second transistor; the second transistor which is cross-coupled to the first transistor to have characteristics complementary with the first transistor; a primary coil stage which is connected to drain electrodes of the first and second transistors, separately; a transformer which includes a secondary coil stage combined to the primary coil stage using a coupling coefficient; a third transistor of which a gate electrode is connected to the drain electrode of the second transistor, of which the drain electrode is connected to one side of the secondary coil stage, and which forms an output stage; and a fourth transistor of which a gate electrode is connected to the drain electrode of the first transistor, of which the drain electrode is connected to the other side of the secondary coil stage, and which forms an output stage. According to the present invention, the oscillation frequency can be increased compared to existing cross-coupled CMOS transistor oscillators by proposing a high frequency signal generator using transformer coupling. |
