摘要 <p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To maintain superior display quality having no flicker and no burning even though the level shift voltage within a screen portion becomes larger while the size of the screen is increased and the preciseness of the display is made finer in an active matrix type liquid crystal device. SOLUTION: As the voltage supply sections of opposing voltages, Vcom lines 18 and 19 are provided on an input terminal side and an end terminal side of scanning signals which are supplied from a scanning line driver circuit 21 through scanning lines G. An opposing electrode driver circuit 17 supplies opposing voltage to the lines 18 and 19 so that Vcom1 is less than Vcom2 and the potentials of opposing electrodes 13 are gradually made higher along the direction from the input terminal side to the end terminal side of the scanning signals. Thus, no bias in the liquid crystal applied voltage is generated in positive/negative fields within a screen.</p>
