FIELD: electricity.SUBSTANCE: invention relates to batteries directly converting the chemical energy into electrical energy. Eventually it allows to increase the reliability of operation and battery resource. The battery electrolyte density indicator consists of the following basic elements: transparent spiral tube from acid-resistance material with a float inside, with the shape of orange round ball, round scale with numbers along a circle indicating an electrolyte density. The free ends of the spiral tube have a diameter, smaller than the ball diameter, that protects from ball falling from the spiral tube during mounting or maintenance. For levelling of electrolyte density in the tube and around it on its lateral surfaces the holes are made. The density indicator is installed in the hole of filling neck of the battery as follows. The transparent spiral tube is placed axially in the filling hole of the battery, meanwhile the tube shall be completely immersed into the electrolyte. From above, axially to the spiral tube and perpendicularly to its axes the round scale with the numbers indicating electrolyte density is mounted. Meanwhile the actual density of the electrolyte is known, for example, it is measured by areometer. As far as the spiral tube is completely immersed in the electrolyte, the ball inside floats and stops in a certain position by height at the given density. By rotation the round scale is set by a number corresponding to an actual density of the electrolyte, against the ball and in such position it is fixed. From above the hole is closed by an eye with magnifying lens.EFFECT: simplification of real-time monitoring and improvement of accuracy of determination of electrolyte density, on the one hand, and from the hand - the indicator to track the trend of change of electrolyte density while in service.2 dwg |
