PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a carrier tape for a TAB which is excellent in punching workability and electric characteristics because of small anisotropy, and a TAB tape using it. SOLUTION: The carrier tape for a TAB is obtained by solving an aromatic liquid crystal polyester in an organic solvent, casting it, and removing the solvent, the TAB tape uses it. The aromatic liquid crystal polyester consisting of a repeated structural unit 30 to 80 mol% originated in p-hydroxybenzoic acid, a repeated structural unit 10 to 35 mol% originated in at least one kind of compound selected from a group of a hydroquinone, a resorcinol, 4,4'- dihydroxybiphenyl, a bisphenol A, and a bisphenol S, and a repeated structural unit 10 to 35 mol% originated in at least one kind of compound selected from a grounp of a telephthalic acid, an isophthalic acid, and a naphthalenedicarboxylic acid is solved in the organic solvent, is casted, and the solvent is removed, thus, the carrier tape for a TAB and the tab tape using it are obtained. |
