The liquid crystal pixel unit comprises a first pixel electrode (11), a second pixel electrode (12) and a first sharing capacitor (CS1); the method for driving the liquid crystal pixel unit comprises: providing charging conducting signals, thus the first pixel electrode (11) and the second pixel electrode (12) are charged to an equal voltage by data signals; after the charging conducting signals are finished, providing sharing conducting signals at a first time interval (&Dgr;t), thus the first sharing capacitor (CS1) is conducted with the first pixel electrode (11) to change the voltage of the first pixel electrode (11); the first time (&Dgr;t) being greater than or equal to 1/10 of a display period and smaller than or equal to 3/4 of the display period. The method for driving the liquid crystal pixel unit is suitable for a liquid crystal display device of a VA mode, and especially for a liquid crystal display device of a CS-SPVA mode.
