A steam unit is proposed which comprises a clarified water preparation device (30), a steam generator (38) which is fluid-actively connected to the clarified water preparation device (30), a cleaning agent preparation device (34), a mixing device (76) for clarified water and cleaning agent, which mixing device is fluid-actively connected to the clarified water preparation device (30) and the cleaning agent preparation device (34), a discharging device (68) for fluid, and a control device (60), by means of which operating modes of the steam unit can be set, wherein, in a steam mode, steam can be discharged by the discharging device (68) and, in a cleaning agent mode, a mixture of clarified water and cleaning agent can be discharged, and wherein the control device (60) comprises a flushing unit (108) which, after the end of the cleaning agent mode, operates a flushing mode in which the discharging device (68) is flushed with clarified water. |
