PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a nonwoven fabric capable of being accelerated in biodegradation by external force. ! SOLUTION: A nonwoven fabric of the present invention capable of being accelerated in biodegradation by external force includes a nonwoven fabric in the form of a thin piece. On the surface of the nonwoven fabric, a plurality of tear portions are distributed at intervals. The length of each tear portion is between 1 mm and 15 mm. The virtual extension line of every tear portion intersects with or forms a connection with at least one of adjacent tear portions. A distance between the tear portions is between one time and ten times as long as the length of each tear portion. When external force is applied to the nonwoven fabric, the tear portion is torn in a direction toward at least one of the adjacent tear portions.
