Provided is a control valve for a variable displacement compressor capable of more effectively performing a breed function. A control valve (1) is formed to vary a suction pressure (Ps) to displace a sub valve body (36) in a valve opening direction after closing a main valve to correspond to a supply current value to a solenoid (3). A port (12) connected to a suction chamber, and a port (14) connected to a crank chamber of a compressor are prepared in a body (5). A sub valve chamber (26) whose diameter is larger than a diameter of a main valve hole (20) is prepared between the port (14) and the main valve hole (20), and a sub valve is arranged in the sub valve chamber (26).
