<p>A poster display system 100 comprises a poster holding member 110 for holding a poster 114, a fixing member 102 for fixing the system to a support structure, e.g. a wall 104, and an adjusting arrangement 106 for adjusting a vertical position of the poster holding member in order to raise or lower the poster. The adjusting arrangement preferably comprises at least one flexible connecting member, e.g. a sheet 108, rope, cable or strap, for connecting the poster holding member 110 to the fixing member 102, and a device, e.g. a spindle 106 wound by a crank or drill, for adjusting an effective length of the connecting member. A catch device 118 mounted to a lower poster support bar 116 cooperates with a hook 120 mounted to the support structure for releasably attaching a lower end of the poster 114 to the support structure. The catch device and hook are preferably hidden behind the poster (Figs. 5-6). A tensioning device (112A) is also disclosed for tensioning at least a portion of the poster (Figs. 7-8).</p> |
