<p>PURPOSE: An apparatus and a method for manufacturing gypsum are provided to use gypsum for a coagulation delaying agent by eliminating moisture from gypsum particles. CONSTITUTION: A supplying part(10) supplies gypsum slurry(1) into a filter. A dehydrating part(20) includes the filter and eliminates moisture from the gypsum slurry. A heating part(30) is adjacent to the dehydrating part and dries the dehydrated gypsum. A storing part collects dried gypsum. A method for manufacturing gypsum includes the following: The gypsum slurry is formed based on a sulfuric acid waste solution. The gypsum slurry is dehydrated. The dehydrated gypsum is thermally treated such that the free moisture content of the dehydrated gypsum is lower than or equal to 15 weight%. The thermally treated gypsum is stored.</p> |
