PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a zoom lens capable of achieving good imaging performance over an entire zoom area while reducing its size and achieving rapid focusing even when a focal length at a telephoto end is made to be longer, and an imaging apparatus.SOLUTION: A zoom lens includes at least, in order from an object side: a first lens group G1 having positive refractive power; a second lens group G2 having negative refractive power; and a negative final lens group G5 disposed closest to an image surface side. The negative final lens group G5 has negative refractive power, and is composed of a front group including one negative lens and a rear group including one negative lens. By moving the negative final lens group G5 to an image surface IMG side, focusing on a close subject from infinity is performed. A predetermined conditional expression is satisfied by a lateral magnification of the negative final lens group and an Abbe number of the negative lens at a d-line that is included in the rear group of the negative final lens group.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
