<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a multi-mode optical fiber having a structure for stably reducing eccentricity thereof in an insertion hole of a connector ferrule to be attached to an end thereof.SOLUTION: A fiber outer diameter of a multi-mode optical fiber varies periodically within a range of a target fiber outer diameter plus/minus 0.5μm along a longitudinal direction thereof. This allows for choosing a fiber outer diameter which provides optimum clearance against an inner diameter of an insertion hole of a connector.</p> |
