PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for evaluating a base rock, which enables the number of data utilized for evaluating the base rock to be reduced.SOLUTION: A method for evaluating a base rock includes: a data acquisition step S2 for constant determination for acquiring a breakage energy coefficient (S) for constant determination and acquiring a base rock strength (&sgr;) for constant determination; a constant determination step S3 for determining an inclination constant (1/E) after a limit breakage energy coefficient (S) is determined; a data acquisition step S4 for strength calculation for acquiring a breakage energy coefficient (S) for strength calculation; and a strength calculation step S5 for calculating the base rock strength (&sgr;) by utilizing the limit breakage energy coefficient (S), the inclination constant (1/E), an impact energy (E) for the strength calculation, and the breakage energy coefficient (S) for the strength calculation. |
