PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To lubricate a toroidal gear change mechanism of a vehicle power transmission device and power transmission gears with suitable oil.SOLUTION: The inside of a transmission case 11 is partitioned into a first chamber 15 for accommodating a toroidal gear change mechanism 22 and a second chamber 16 for accommodating a first gear 32 and a second gear 38, the toroidal gear change mechanism 22 in the first chamber 15 is lubricated with first oil, the first gear 32 and the second gear 38 in the second chamber 16 are lubricated with second oil, thereby a temperature and the viscosity of the first oil which is desired to be maintained at a relatively-low temperature and high viscosity and a temperature and the viscosity of the second oil which is desired to be maintained at a relatively-high temperature and low viscosity can be independently managed, the traction performance of the toroidal gear change mechanism 22 can be improved, and the reduction of the agitation resistance of the second oil caused by the first and second gears 32, 38 and the reduction of drive loads of oil pumps 42, 46 for supplying the second oil can be achieved. |
