The present invention relates to a lyocell material for a tobacco filter and a method for preparing the same, and more specifically, to a lyocell material for a tobacco filter, the lyocell material being prepared in a step of crimping a lyocell multifilament to obtain crimped tow, and to a method for preparing the same. Thus, a lyocell material for a tobacco filter, which is biodegradable and eco-friendly, can be prepared.
