An engine control device comprising: a fuel injection control means that controls the amount of fuel injected from a first fuel injection valve that injects fuel into an intake path in an engine and from a second fuel injection valve that injects fuel into a combustion chamber in the engine, in accordance with the operation state of the engine; and a valve control means that changes the open/closed state of a wastegate valve in accordance with the amount of fuel injected from the first fuel injection valve and the second fuel injection valve. The fuel injection control means increases the amount of fuel injected from the second fuel injection valve in accordance with the increase in engine load or engine speed. The valve control means changes the open/closed state of the wastegate valve in accordance with the increase in the amount of fuel injected from the second fuel injection valve, in order from open to closed, to open.
