Disclosed is a colour changing toothpaste which contains either (1) Hydrochromic Inks that react to the presence of water or (2) Thermochromic inks that react to changes in temperature. Further (3) A combination of Hydrochromic inks which is used in conjunction with Thermochromic inks (and vice versa) by exhibiting a colour change indicative of tooth brushing time (These Hydrochromic and Thermochromic inks can have reversible or irreversible properties). The colour reagents would comprise of colour components which may be an FD&C dye, and FD&C lake or a natural food colour. Optionally, the toothpaste may contain a foaming agent and other components such as a fluoride and a flavouring agent. |
