Provided is a head-up display device that enables the simultaneous generation of a plurality of virtual images at different distances in the vertical direction. Videos from a projector (4) using an LED light source respectively traversing a first projection lens (16) and second projection lens (17) are projected at a first screen (20) and a second screen (21), the videos projected to the first screen (20) and second screen (21) are reflected at the front window (6) of a vehicle (2) and caused to be viewed by a vehicle occupant (7), and thereby virtual images of the videos viewed by the vehicle occupant (7) are generated. Also, a first virtual image that is on the basis of the video projected to the first screen (20) and a second virtual image that is on the basis of the video projected to the second screen (21) are configured in a manner so as to be each disposed in the vertical direction at positions of differing distances from the occupant. |
