The unit pixel of an image sensor includes a photoelectric conversion unit, a mode control unit, a first signal generation unit, and a second signal generation unit. The photoelectric conversion unit generates a photocharge in response to an incident light and supplies the photocharge to a first node. The mode control unit prevents the photocharge from being discharged from the first node in a first operation mode, passes through the photocharge in a second operation mode to output the photocharge as a sensing current, and generates a sensing voltage in proportion to the size of the sensing current. The first signal generation unit generates an analog signal based on the amount of photocharge accumulated on the first node in the first operation mode. The second signal generation unit generates an on-signal and an off-signal based on the variation of the sensing voltage in a second operation mode. The image sensor supplies various information according to an operation mode.
