METHOD OF CHILLDOWN OF THE TANK WITH CRYOGENIC FUEL DURING THE TESTING OF ROCKET UNIT

FIELD: aviation.SUBSTANCE: Method of chilldown of the tank with cryogenic fuel during the testing of rocket unit consists in removal of steam-gas mixture from the tank through the draining system with the installed cross-section area downstream with simultaneous measurement of pressure and temperature of the mixture in the tank. To implement the method the mixture pressure downstream the drainage system is measured, the composition of gas-vapor phase in the tank is determined with the calculation of the gas constant and adiabatic index for the gas-vapor mixture, they are compared with the parameters, earlier determined for real flight conditions, and using the observed-minus-computed difference the drainage system output cross-section area is adjusted.EFFECT: improvement of accuracy of the chilldown process and significant material advantage due to instruction of the operation of time adjustment of the drainage system output cross-section area.
