PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electric steering lock device capable of preventing the occurrence of trouble by accurately grasping electric motor replacement timing.SOLUTION: An electric steering lock device including: a lock member 6; an electric motor 14; a drive mechanism for converting a torque of the electric motor 14 to a force for moving the lock member 6 forward or backward; Hall elements (detection sensors) 17 and 18; and a CPU (control means) 19, comprises: a counter 31 counting movements of the lock member (lock bolt) to a lock position or an unlock position; movement count storage means 33 storing the movement counts counted by the counter 31; and duration count storage means 34 storing a duration operation count of the electric motor 14. The CPU (control means) 19 determines whether a movement count X stored in the movement count storage means 33 reaches a duration count (Y1, Y2) stored in the duration count storage means 34. |
