PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inorganic antimicrobial agent effectively usable for the antimicrobial treatment of water in a water tank or the like. SOLUTION: The inorganic antimicrobial agent is a molded article in a prescribed shape, obtained by mixing granules of zeolite containing an inorganic antimicrobial material (especially silver is preferable) and exhibiting antimicrobial activities by releasing an antimicrobial metal ion, with granules of water-glass-based soluble glass and a saturated fatty acid. The water glass-based soluble glass has a composition represented by formula (I) (wherein, R is Na and/or K; and E is Ca), and containing 35-70 mol% of SiO<SB POS="POST">2</SB>, 0-10 mol% of Al<SB POS="POST">2</SB>O<SB POS="POST">3</SB>and 20-60 mol% of (RO+EO).
