<p>Provided is a liquid crystal lens that is prevented from breaking when a liquid crystal is expanded due to heating or the like. A liquid crystal lens (10) is provided with: liquid crystal layers (41, 42); a first electrode (1), which has a first electrode section (3) having an opening (3a), and a second electrode section (4) that is disposed in the opening (3a); a second electrode (2) that faces the first electrode (1) by having the liquid crystal layers (41, 42) therebetween; and stress relaxation chambers (31, 32) that are connected to the liquid crystal layers (41, 42) via conduction paths (21c, 24c). The liquid crystal lens is characterized in containing air bubbles (31a, 32a) in the stress relaxation chambers (31, 32).</p> |
