This substrate storing container is provided with a container main body, a cover body, and a lateral substrate supporting section. The lateral substrate supporting section has: a plurality of board sections, which have a parallel positional relationship, and support end portions of a plurality of substrates; and a board section supporting section (52), which supports the board sections, and is fixed to a side wall. The board section supporting section (52) has: a groove-formed section (521) having a groove (521A) formed therein, said groove linearly extending over the whole board sections in the direction intersecting the board sections; a protrusion (522), which is formed in the groove (521A), and which protrudes such that the protrusion reduces the width of the groove (521A) in the direction orthogonal to the direction in which the groove (521A) extends; and a section to be aligned (523) that is formed at a center portion of the groove (521A) in the direction in which the groove (521A) extends. Furthermore, on the inner surface of the side wall, there is a linearly extending rib section to be fitted in the groove, said section being capable of fitting in the groove (521A), and on a center portion of the rib section to be fitted in the groove, said center portion being in the extending direction of the rib section to be fitted in the groove, there is an aligning section capable of locking the section to be aligned. |
