PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a skeleton structure capable of enhancing the degree of freedom of materials that can be adopted as a buckling stiffener. SOLUTION: A skeleton structure includes shaft members 12, buckling stiffeners 20 disposed along the shaft members 12 with clearances between the buckling stiffeners 20 and the shaft members 12, and joint means 30 for joining the shaft members 12 to the buckling stiffeners 20. The joint means 30 controls the deformation of the shaft members 12 and thereby generating a prescribed buckling mode in the shaft members 12 when the shaft members 12 suffer compressive force equal to or greater than a prescribed value.
