The present invention relates to a method for providing mobile geographic information system (GIS) space information and a system thereof. If a GIS information request signal is transmitted to a GIS server from a mobile device where an application to use GIS information is executed, the GIS server loads GIS source data from a GIS database, and extracts data corresponding to the request of the mobile device and then converts the data into data appropriate for the mobile device. And the method can increase utilization of GIS information by displaying the GIS space information on the mobile device together with a map, on the basis of the transmitted data.
